The Educator Literacy Collaborative: School-Based Literacy
Our professional development and coaching program that supports educators who work with children from birth through age 5, strengthening their ability to teach foundational literacy skills in the classroom.
On-Site Coaching and Professional Development Workshops
Early Literacy Specialists provide one-on-one coaching in professional development workshops for nearly 500 educators annually. Our Early Literacy Specialists visit under-resourced preschools and childcare centers to provide ongoing coaching to educators throughout the school year.
“Each session helps me grow not only as a teacher, but as a person, strengthening my ability to support and care for the children and families I serve. It inspires me to keep improving and to make a genuine, lasting difference in their lives.”

Resource Center for Educators
At Make Way For Books, we pride ourselves on reflecting the needs of our community. Many educators, after participating in our programming, express a need to revisit the strategies we teach in professional development and coaching sessions.
From that feedback, our team created our digital resource center for educators in our program, accessible anytime, anywhere, with strategies and tools to strengthen their literacy skills.
